    Fund Management in Amp Impact

Fund Management enables organizations to manage pools of money that can be allocated to projects or grants.

There are three elements that can be part of Fund Management:

    1. Funds

    2. Allocations

    3. Disbursements

Funds track information about the funding, including total fund amount and amounts in various stages of commitment. Some amounts on the Fund record are automatically calculated based on updates on the Allocation and Disbursement records.

Allocations can be used to track details about which Project(s) a Fund has allocated money to. A Project can have one or more Allocations. A Project with only one funder might have just one Allocation, whereas a Project funded by multiple sources would have many.

Remember, Allocations can also be used to track Project Allocations coming from Accounts or Opportunities. In the context of Fund Management, it is just generally used to track Allocations from Funds to Projects specifically.

Disbursements track planned or actual payments from a Fund to a Project. As the Disbursement “Status” is updated, so the total remaining amounts on the Fund will also automatically be updated.
