Managed Package
Many2Many is now a managed package, with regular updates and bug fixes coming from Vera Solutions. For clients with earlier, unmanaged versions of Many2Many, they may choose to stay with their current version in order to maintain any custom configuration.
Lightning Component
To maintain compatibility with Salesforce’s Lightning Experience, Many2Many has been rebuilt as a Lightning component that can be dragged and dropped anywhere on a Lightning Page.

UI Redesign
To conserve space on a record page, Many2Many component’s design has changed from the MSPL + inline viewing components into a type-ahead search box component.
- On click into the search box, a dropdown catalog of records available for tagging appears.
- Typing in search box dynamically renders the dropdown catalog to include only records that start with matching text strings.
- On click of “Add Selected” button, tags are created, represented by the pills appearing in the search box.
Archive Mode
By default, users delete a tag by clicking the “X” on a pill. One can disable tag deletion (and enable historical tracking/reporting of tags) using the Archive Mode checkbox field on a Tag Setting record. If this function is activated, Junction Object Tag Date Field and Junction Object Archive Date Field need to be populated, and the junction object must have a Tag Date field and a Archive Date field.
