Amp Impact Upgrade Best Practices
Following the best practice process to upgrade Amp Impact is important for ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption. The upgrade process consists of four essential steps:
Org Analysis
In this first step, your Salesforce org should be analysed to determine how Amp Impact features are currently leveraged and document any customizations that have been implemented on top of the core Amp Impact functionality.
Upgrade in Sandbox
Next, the upgrade should always be performed in a sandbox first, thus ensuring a safe space to identify and resolve any issues that might occur.
Regression Testing
Next, thorough testing should be conducted in the sandbox to verify that all functionality works as it did before the upgrade, with special attention to customized features.
Upgrade in Production
Finally, the production upgrade can be implemented, followed by smoke tests to ensure all functionality operates correctly.
