Managing Allocations with Amp Impact

Allocations allow an organization to allocate funding commitments to a project or grant from an Account, Opportunity, or Fund, depending on the organization’s need.

...

Info

If an organization manages inbound grants or opportunities in Salesforce, we can also link Allocations directly to a relevant grant or opportunity.

Five fields on the Allocation object are used for this purpose:

  1. Amount - A currency field to track the monetary amount of funds allocated

  2. Account - A lookup field to track the organization/account that has made the allocation

  3. Project - A lookup field to track the project to which the allocation has been made

  4. Fund - A lookup field to track the fund from which the allocation has been made

  5. Status - A picklist field that indicates the status of the allocation (Applied For, Committed, Rejected)

Allocation object also augments the IATI reporting functionality of Amp Impact. Refer to the IATI User Guide for more detailed information.
